What is Mineral Fiber?
Mineral fiber is an asbestos free product of the smelting process of converting iron to steel. Steel slag is blown into a mineral fiber or ‘wool’ and added to recycled newsprint, starch and binders to create Class “A” noncombustible mineral fiber ceiling panels.

How are Interior Systems products shipped?
Depending on the characteristics of the order, Interior Systems works with a few trusted freight carriers. Shipping costs are not included in the price of the products and vary depending on the destination.

Why do Antique paint finishes, Copper Highlights, and Heavy Rust Finish cost more than Metallic paint finishes?
Interior Systems uses a conveyor fed spray painting booth and dryer to evenly coat ceiling panels with paint. This method is used with flat and metallic paint options. Antique finishes such as Antique Gold, Antique Silver as well as Copper highlights are all fed through the paint booth for the base color and then painted by hand on each panel. These are more time consuming and labor intensive, therefore require more time and cost for production. In addition, Heavy Rust finish involves multiple coat applications and saturation time for the desired result.

What Edge Detail options do you offer?
Designer Ceilings offer many customization options, including edge details. All of Interior Systems’ ceilings offer Square Edge, 9/16” Reveal, 15/16” Reveal, Triple-Step Reveal, Bevel Reveal, Radius reveal, and Neo Reveal.
